Certified by the Climate Reality Project, RETRACE Hospitality is a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps. We advocate for hospitality investors to adapt transformative and climate-conscious business practices.
Founded by former US Vice President Al Gore, The Climate Reality Project advocates for real change that comes from the ground up. Climate Reality knows that a small-but-committed critical mass of activists can not only transform society, but change the world.
Climate Reality recruits, trains, and mobilises people to become powerful activists, providing the skills, campaigns, and resources to push for aggressive climate action and high-level policies that accelerate a just transition to clean energy.
The Climate Reality signature activist program, the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, has trained over 36,000 change makers worldwide since 2006. The result is a global network of activists leading the fight for climate solutions through our 10 branch offices – Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, and South Africa and a partnership in China – and 140 chapters across the US.
Alongside these efforts, Climate Reality’s dynamic communications initiatives connect climate and behavioral science with the emotional power of compelling stories, raising awareness and inspiring action in online audiences everywhere.
“The Climate Reality Project’s mission is to catalyze a global solution to the climate crisis by making urgent action a necessity across every sector of society.”
Climate Reality’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Statement
The Climate Reality Project is committed to building a more just and equitable world, one where all voices are heard and respected regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or physical ability.
A diverse and inclusive movement is critical to solving the climate crisis, and to build this winning coalition, we must ensure that those directly impacted – particularly those who have been excluded in the past – are at the center of the movement for change. While the climate crisis manifests on a global scale, the Climate Reality Project acknowledges that indigenous peoples, low-income families, people of color, and other historically marginalized groups represent frontline communities who experience harmful climate impacts first and worst.
To live our values of a truly sustainable future for all, we must commit to understanding and undoing the historic injustices which contribute to this reality and, in our solutions, address systemic inequities.
The Climate Reality Project believes that equity, fairness, and the fully voiced engagement of frontline communities most impacted by climate change are essential components of any enduring climate solution and that to solve the climate crisis, everyone must pursue a just transition to a clean energy economy that nurtures healthy and sustainable communities and ecosystems.
